Pepper Sprout Barn | Our Why
Hello! We are so excited to launch our new website. It's been a labor of love but truly believe it is a new chapter in our story. Before I start, I have to send an enormous thank you to Danait at Heart & Vine Creative because she is the brains behind our beautiful website. She's worked with us tirelessly to help us create a site that best reflects the story of our wedding venue as well as our couples and our team. I truly hope you continue to follow along!
Before we start, I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a little bit more about the people and reasons behind our big red barn, our venue here in Jackson, GA.
I’m Juli Hall and I’ve been the owner of Pepper Sprout Barn from day one. From picking out paint colors and tiles to designing the systems by which we operate, this barn venue is a true original creation. Quick funny story about the picture above...the super talented Tate Cathcart of Taken by Tate came out to take family pictures at the barn and despite many reminders, my husband forgot! So he's missing from these photos, but my kids and dog remembered!
From day one I’ve told people that the reason we built the barn is to help our clients celebrate life’s joyous moments. Life can be stressful and sometimes feels like a constant uphill battle but celebrating life, whether it be a wedding, anniversary, milestone birthday or baby shower, are the times we live for. It’s those happy moments that we share with our loved ones that reminds us what life is all about. The laughter, tears of joy, sweet moments and kind sentiments shared that are what truly make the best memories.
Never in my wildest dreams did imagine what our original blueprints and creative ideas would turn into! After 60+ weddings and almost 30 private events, we truly have been able to define our why. Why we built the barn, why we work long hours and give up so many of our weekends. For us, this is so much more than a job, it is a true passion of ours.
Family is why we love our jobs. It may be cliche but to us, family is everything. During the tough times and best of times, family is by your side. Family makes us unique, is why we are who we are (for good or bad). They teach us life lessons and support us through this journey called life and when we have big moments to share, we want our family close.
We love seeing families come together for weddings and celebrations. Watching them work together and see all their time and effort come to fruition as the couple shares their vows is an awesome moment. The grand moment is made even better as they toast to the new couple (we love when funny and sweet memories are shared) and they tear it up on the dance floor. Love flows and it’s palpable and being witness to that never gets old.
Weddings are the start of a new family. There is nothing more rewarding than to watch a couples journey from dating to engagement to marriage to extending their family with children. Stay tuned for that blog post, it's coming soon! Trust us, it’s going to be a good one!
Family is the reason the barn exists. The idea of owning a wedding venue was something my husband and I dreamed up over 12 years ago but it took a while for the timing of life to work out. I could not have created this company without my husband and father-in-law. From construction to the countless hours my husband has offered support; whether it be a hug and encouraging words to tackling a “honey-do” list, he’s always there to help me. My kids are my world and while it’s been a huge sacrifice for all of us for me to work so many weekends, they have been so supportive. They cheer me on, help me around the house and are always patient as we navigate these new roads. My mom & brother, in-laws and extended family are always in my corner, believing in me. They have no idea how many times their love and support has helped me survive the tough days.
For my staff, family always comes first. They are all close to their families and it’s at the core of what we do and who we are. Anytime they need to be with family, that is the priority and they are given the time off. Time with family is precious and I never want them missing out on their own joyous moments. One of my favorite things is when the guys on our staff will take the flowers left behind and bring them home to their moms. It’s such a simple thing but it’s so sweet and as a mom myself, I know they love waking up to pretty flowers in their kitchen. As a team, we've become a form of family too. You tend to bond quickly when you are mopping together at midnight!
Whether it's the family we live with, the family we work with or the family celebrating on a particular weekend at the barn, we are committed to the connection between each other. As you explore our new website, I hope you will see it as a culmination of these ideas, the chapters of our story and we will continue sharing in our blog. We will be posting on a regular basis to share our tips and tricks, better explain how event-planning works and things we have learned that can help you. We will share helpful lists, new ideas, suggestions and stories and of course, we will highlight recent events so you can be inspired as you plan yours.
Above all else, we are here for you, we want to help you plan your perfect day so you can experience your dream day with lots of support and very little stress. If there is ever a time you have a question or could use some advice, never hesitate to reach out. DM us on social media or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to learning about your story and hope one day we have the opportunity to work together. Once you we work together, you are always a part of the PSB family!
