  1. Get organized: This may sound simple, but a little organization can totally change your wedding planning experience. As soon as you start planning buy a calendar or planner reserved only for the wedding. Give your self “due dates” for all of the things that need to be accomplished. By doing this you are ensuing you know how long you have to make decisions and it prevents tasks from sneaking up on you. Tasks you can plot out include addressing invitations, picking bridesmaids dresses, ordering wedding bands, making your wedding registry…the list is endless and the more you schedule, the less stressed you will be about having to make last minute decisions or forgetting something important!

  2. Enlist help: You have a whole tribe of people who are willing to help you pull your day off…use them! From bridesmaids to mother-in-laws to great aunts, the ones who love you want to help you. Ask them to address invitations or help assemble your favors. Give you maid-of-honor small tasks so you can take them off of your plate. Just remember that these loved ones are not your servants, give clear instructions and be kind to them. They will love helping you and you will be able to breathe a little easier.

  3. Take some time off: Schedule a date night, girls day, or even a Saturday night in where you completely unwind from wedding planning. That means no emails, no texts, you can’t even discuss the day with you S.O. Just relax and spend time with people you love. It is amazing how how just a little time away from the wedding planning process can rejuvenate and relax you.

  4. Hire a wedding coordinator: This tip is one of the biggest we have to help you get rid of wedding day stress. A wedding coordinator typically takes over the last month of your wedding planning journey. They will handle all last minute communication with your vendors, ensure that everything is ready to go for your big day, and then run your wedding rehearsal and wedding day! While you may think a wedding coordinator is not necessary we are here to tell you that wedding coordinators can make a world of difference. The last month in wedding planning can be the most stressful. All the small details start adding up and you can start dreading the wedding itself. Hiring a professional to help you conquer the last 30 days is a total game changer.                                                                                    Click here to read a little more about wedding coordinators and get an inside look at their day.
