Unique Wedding Vendors | Think outside the box!
When you begin wedding planning, the list of essential vendors is pretty standard. Venue, Caterer, Photographer, Florist, DJ and Officiant. Once you have those booked, it’s time to start thinking about the details or special vendors that will really make your day stand out and truly represent you and your fiancé.
The style of your dress, the colors of the wedding party attire, your invites or your overall reception decor scheme all add detail to your day but if you are looking to find that one element to your wedding day that makes your guests say “I’ve never seen that before” or “that was the best idea ever” or “I will never forget your wedding because of…” then it’s time to think outside the box!
We’ve complied some unique vendor ideas that will truly set your wedding day apart from the rest. Side note: these vendors are all local to Georgia but if you love the idea and want to see who is available in your area, we’ve included the keywords you should use in your local Google search.
Pictures beyond the photographer
We all know a photographer is a must-have at a wedding but these days everyone loves a selfie or groupie and what better way to capture a fun shot of your friends (with props of course!) than in a photo booth. These days we are loving the mobile photo booth and our favorite is The Wandering Photo Camper from Atlanta!
A few reasons why we love The Wandering Photo Camper
it’s adorable! Hello shiplap, vintage camper & photos you can send to your phone and print out! What more could you want?
Mary Beth and Paul are amazing—two of the kindest people you will meet.
The couple goes home with a photo album of all the pictures from the night #bestgiftever
Having your photo booth outside creates a super fun ambience, gets people outside and mingling, adds so much to cocktail hour and makes for some really cute wedding shots!

Have the bar come to you!
If you want your guests to have fun, relax and take silly pictures in your photo booth, libations may be a necessity! We estimate that 80% of our weddings plan to serve alcohol to their guests. No doubt traditional bar service will be appreciated by your guests but if you want to step it up a notch, there are ways to add some flair to the bar line!
We recommend checking out Tipple + Pine. Jayme & Mike found a vintage 1979 Stilham horse trailer for sale and turned a dream into a reality! Thanks to their creativity and eye for design, we now have the cutest mobile bar based in our little town of Jackson!
In addition to added style, bringing your bar service outside gives you and your guests more room to dance and mingle. Tipple + Pine is new to the scene and offers so many bar options—from beer and wine service all the way to full bar service. Added bonuses to hiring Tipple + Pine…
They are licensed and insured.
You provide the alcohol so that can save you lots of money.
Jayme & Mike are so friendly, creative and great drink makers!

Want to bring a little amusement park fun to your wedding day?
Consider a caricature artist to join your reception! We had one at a wedding in Fall of 2017 and the guests loved it. Gone are the days that you have to sit the whole time waiting for your likeness to be drawn out. Now your guests can take a selfie, grab another drink, dance and come by to a new piece of art to hang on their walls. This vendor can be a huge hit so our recommendation is to be sure to book them for your entire reception so everyone has a chance to go home with a piece of art.
Looking for a more refined art piece to commemorate your day?
Another artistic option is to have an artist come to your ceremony to paint or draw a picture of your “I do’s”. It would be a work of art that would capture the moment your forever started and would certainly be a keepsake you would treasure always.

So we’ve covered fun and drinks, another way to think outside the box is to actually think of a box…and by that we mean a food truck! We’ve had Mac the Cheese and The Varsity to the barn and we’ve grown to love the food truck option.
Bonus features to a food truck:
Unique food menu items
Self-contained and full of character
Adds a relaxed, friendly vibe to your night. Can’t help but smile if someone’s screaming “What’ll ya have?” at you!
Once again, less lines and tables inside more room for dancing
Food trucks can help you save money! While they may not have a traditional meal to serve your guests (ie: salad, meat and two sides) we haven’t heard a guest complain yet about Lobster Mac-n-cheese or all you can eat food truck service.
A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime party—it’s fun to think outside the realm of traditional and treat your guests to a night they will never forget. Being unique or original doesn’t have to cost you a ton of money—you’d be surprised how affordable these vendors can be and how much fun they can add to your night.
These are just some fun ideas we’ve seen at weddings hosted at Pepper Sprout Barn. We’d love to hear more ideas you’ve thought of or experienced for yourself. Leave us a comment below to share your suggestions!
